If You Suffer From Acidity Or Ulcer Avoid Spicy Food

Spices enhance the taste and Aroma of the food which we eat. Asian food, especially South Asian food are prepared with different kinds of spices. There are many benefits of the spices which are used in the food apart from the taste, but using too much of spices are also not good for health. Hot spices like Red Chilli, Pepper (Kali mirch in Hindi) or Cloves (Laung in Hindi) particularly not good for patients with stomach problems like acidity or ulcers.

Body creates more acid to digest hot spices which can aggravate condition of patients suffering from stomach ailments. More acid is secreted due to these spices which can damage the mucous membrane in the stomach. Mucous membrane protects the stomach from the Hydrochloric Acid which helps in disinfecting and digesting the food. This leads to diseases like Gastro Enteritis and peptic ulcers. This can also lead to infection in the intestines.

Liver is also affected as it is responsible for cleaning the blood which can make it vulnerable to diseases. Another bad aspect of consuming spicy food is it can lead to obesity because you will feel more hungry because of the acid and consequently eat more.

Reducing hot spices can help you in maintaining a healthy stomach and reduce various diseases which can originate from stomach.
