Usefulness of Lemon

Lemon is found in the vegetable shops all round the year. Pickles are made in India in the winters with Lemon which can supply calcium and Vitamin C throughout the year to the family. Calcium is required for healthy teeth and bones. Consuming Vitamin C removes the weakness in the old age and the tightness of the muscles apart from tiredness. Lemon is also easily available in the market, cheap, useful for relieving constipation.

Medicinal Uses of Lemon
It is recommended to include juice of half a lemon in the meals. Mix juice of one fourth lemon in a glass of water and drink that after the meal. This will keep the teeth clean and reduce bad smell from the mouth. This also increases the digestion process.

Lemon is also used in a eye drops along with other ingredients.

Mosquito Repellent
The smoke from the burning lemon leaves acts as a natural mosquito repellent. Boil 50 grams of Lemon tree leaves with 100 grams of mustard oil. Applying this oil will turn away the mosquitoes.

Medicinal uses of Garlic

Garlic is one of the most important herbs in terms of medicinal properties. Garlic has pungent smell which repels some people. Usually it is used in food to increase the taste. It is used in many chutneys or pickles.

Medicinal Properties of Garlic

Garlic is useful in many diseases like Epilepsy, Tuberculosis, paralysis etc.

Ear Ache : Take mustard oil and boil with Garlic cloves till the Garlic cloves become black in color. New put 3 -4 drops in the ear which is aching. Massaging the body with this oil if good for treating Tuberculosis.

Tooth Ache : Extract some garlic juice and with a cotton swab apply some juice on the tooth.

Skin Disease : Applying the garlic paste on the affected parts helps in cases of irritation and eczema.

Pimples : Burn Garlic and create ash. Mix 20 grams sesame oil, 20 grams ghee and 5 grams of the ash and apply morning and evening.

Heart Disease : Taking 2-3 garlic cloves first thing in the morning with water is very good. Another way is to take pure ghee and fry the garlic till it becomes brownish and take it out. These cloves can be eaten in the morning. Consuming garlic this way removes Cholesterol from the arteries and reduces the risk of the heart diseases.

Pneumonia : Garlic reduces the swelling of respiratory organs like Trachea and Lungs. For this take Garlic with honey.

If You Suffer From Acidity Or Ulcer Avoid Spicy Food

Spices enhance the taste and Aroma of the food which we eat. Asian food, especially South Asian food are prepared with different kinds of spices. There are many benefits of the spices which are used in the food apart from the taste, but using too much of spices are also not good for health.
